OUR MISSION STATEMENT

To present the powerful, positive, life-changing message of the gospel,
to take part in anointed worship that builds our faith
and to prepare disciples to rescue the lost with the message of Jesus.
How Great You Are Website Banner

Our prayer is that you would be blessed and strengthened by the power
of Jesus Christ, that you would live a life filled with the knowledge
of His will and fulfill His purposes in your life!

OUR BELIEFS
  • We are a non-denominational, charismatic, Christian church.
  • We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and three days later, victoriously rose from the dead.
  • We believe man is born inheritantly in sin and without forgiveness of our sins, there is no salvation.  You must be born again to receive eternal life.
  • We believe in the Holy Trinity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and God’s administration of gifts to every believer.
  • We believe God gave us His Holy Bible for our life’s direction.
  • We believe God calls us to be part of His family, to love one another and reach out and help others. We become an empty vessel that Christ works through. (Die to ourself, live for Christ!)
  • We believe in the return of Jesus Christ for His saints!!

OUR HISTORY
Suburban Community Church started in a living room in 1949 after believers attending the Katherine Kuhlman crusades wanted a local place to worship. As their fellowship grew, they looked for a place to build a church and in 1951, the church was erected.
When the church mortgage was burnt by Katherine Kuhlman, the crowd was so large, it couldn’t fit into the church.
Through the years, “The SUB” has stood strong on the uncompromising Word of God, the power of prayer and the
Spirit-filled life in Jesus Christ

We are a Non-Denominational Church. We do not have a “strict, unyielding” service on Sunday mornings. If the Spirit of the Lord desires to move in our services, we move out of the way and let the Lord work in lives to bring about His will.
